From a single vine plant emerge two figures locked together in an embrace. The interlocking wooden faces of the figures, held apart but coming together, suggest a bond that has been broken and maybe restored.

From a single vine plant emerge two figures locked together in an embrace. The interlocking wooden faces of the figures, held apart but coming together, suggest a bond that has been broken and maybe restored.

This work was created from a single vine plant from the Chateau Lanson vineyard in France, with the unique female form emerging as the ancient wood was carved. The vine wood figure was finished in bronze resin, patinas and waxes.
